The house is a dream ! Beautifully furnished and the view is incredible ! Every evening we had dinner on the terrace and enjoyed the wonderful view and the starry sky. It is easy to get to Málaga or Torre del mar. Shopping facilities are available and sufficient in Riogordo. The owners are very nice, easy to communicate with. All in all a perfect place to relax and we would come back anytime !
This is a beautiful villa in an outstanding location. From the moment we arrived we were bewitched - what an amazing property - hidden in the hills with the most amazing views all round. The villa has been lovingly restored and equipped - I love cooking and it's the first villa where there have been no complaints from me about the cooker or the lack of equipment. We loved the interior- attention to detail with Spanish historical pictures and finds - some of the photos were really intriguing. The garden is lovely and provided us with mulberries - a first for me - and almonds fresh from the tree. Another boon is that despite the heat in Spain the villa remained really cool at night, we didn't even need to use the fans - there was often a lovely cool evening breeze coming in through the windows. All in all a perfect holiday villa - if you want to get away from it all - we barely left the pool - except for visits to Granada, Seville and of course Malaga. Would also add that Simon and Jeanette, the owners, are lovely hosts - hope to meet up with you again some day.
Simon and Jeanette’s place is the by far the best place we have stayed in via air bnb. Everything had been thought of and we wanted for nothing. The house is beautiful and comfortable, so much so that we didn’t want to leave. The views are outstanding. Communication was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this place and would love to return.
Heaven in Andalucía ! I’m very picky when it comes to houses I rent. This house was definitely one of the most beautiful I had the opportunity to stay in. The house itself is beautiful, It Is so comfortable, nicely decorated and warm... You’ll feel at home. The views are just breathtaking, you could spend a day just looking at the landscape. I’ve spent a couple of weeks and I must say it has been one of the best in the past few years. I’ve slept like a baby and woken up every morning to views I’m still dreaming of ! The terrace and swimming pool area are perfectly equipped for you to relax and enjoy the sun and the breeze. We had some friends coming over for a few days and their only wish was they could stay longer in this peaceful and beautiful location.
Amazing location and accommodations We stayed at Casa Jose Ramon in February during the olive harvest & olive festival near the community of Riogordo. This lovely, updated Spanish farmhouse in a quiet location with breathtaking views had all the amenities you could possibly need. A wood stove and ample supply of wood kept the home warm during the cool evenings along with portable gas heaters for the bedrooms. The home had comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and was tastefully decorated. The terrace was just beautiful and the pool inviting. There was even a pond with coy fish.The view was spectacular and our host, Simon available and attentive. It was the perfect location to explore the Spanish countryside, whether on foot or by car. The town of Riogordo is just over a mile away and has very good bars/restaurants, bakeries and groceries. There is a local market on Wednesdays. One of our favorite shops was a wonderful take away with fresh roasted chicken and a variety of authentic Spanish dishes. We were also impressed with the historical museum in Riogordo which displayed the pressing of olives into oil. The local community was friendly and most spoke English. Looking forward to returning to Casa Jose Ramon.
Well - what can I say - it was perfect in every way. The home felt like we were home and had every amenity anyone could possibly need or want. The 360 degree views over the valley were amazing. The flowers/gardens, the fish pond, fresh mint, limes, rosemary and lavender, the air was clean and fresh. We were able to go to Malaga, Nerja, Ronda, Cordoba and visited the area pueblo blancos. The evenings spent on the porch overlooking the gardens, pool, olive groves and three sisters - superb!!! Highly recommend this stay!
